Hardisty Lake Park Camping Fees

Effective May 1/12 Camping fees are as follows:

Overflow at Rodeo Grounds is $20.00/day
CAMPING FEES are payable at the time of permit purchase. These are non-transferable.

A maximum of 3 units per site. All units must pay a registration fee.
Checkout time is 2:00 p.m.

Park Regulations

-No boats allowed in park.
-No littering.
-No noisy activities in park after 11 pm.
-Speed limit is 15 km/h
-Daylight swimming and boating only.
-No all-terrain vehicles in park area
-Dogs must always be kept on a leash, and no dogs allowed on the beach. (Town of Hardisty by-law #997).

Hardisty Lake Park & Campground

A shimmering playground located within the Town limits.  Here you can relax on a sandy beach, swim in the clear water or go for a walk around the lake.  There is a playground for the kids with lots of room to run. An integral part of the park complex is a beautiful public golf course, baseball diamonds, and the rodeo grounds.

Hardisty Lake Park is located within the Town limits, with 58 camping sites available, including 7 group sites. If the 58 campsites as Hardisty Lake Park. 51 sites are full service and the rest have power. It is operated by the Hardisty Agricultural Society and is open from May 1 to October 1 of each year. Warden's hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM each day. The Park is locked at night from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM for security from May long weekend until September long weekend, but you can always get out in an Emergency.

*NOTE: All water within the Park is NON-POTABLE!!

There is an overflow area in the Hardisty Rodeo Grounds which is adjacent to the Park, this is normally used for Group Bookings for Weddings; family reunions, etc. There is power for 20 units in the overflow area.

The Lake Park has:

  • a great playground
  • a large picnic area
  • free firewood for the campers
  • showers & washroom facilities
  • sandy beach that has 2 slides in the water, swings on the beach and 3 gazebos for shade!
  • a trailer dump
  • Ice is available at the Park Warden’s office

Boating Regulations

  • Boating permit required (Town of Hardisty by-law 973).
  • Annual docking fee is $60.00/permit/vessel.
  • The maximum number of motorized vessels operating on Hardisty Lake at one time is three.
  • Operation of the vessel will be in a manner that will not be a hazard to any other vessel or persons.
  • The direction of travel on Hardisty Lake is counter-clockwise, except to pick up skiers.
  • Limit of 2 skiers per boat.
    -No boating is allowed after dark.
  • The allowable number of rounds around lake per turn is three.
  • Vessels speed is 10 km/hr maximum within 30 metres of shoreline.
  • All vessels are to avoid the swimming areas which are identified by buoys.
  • All vessels must have annual permit sticker visible on the vessel.
  • Violation of lake rules will result in annual permit revoked and charges may result.
